It will start and you can follow it via the progress bar that appears. On the last step leave the default options enabled and click Install to start the installation process of the software. Choosing the other option will allow you to use Git commands with the Windows command prompt tool, but this is not recommended as it is not designed to be used with GIT. Choose the Use MinTTY option on the next step in order to use GIT with the built-in MinTTY terminal. On the next step of the installation process, it is recommended to choose the Checkout Windows-style, commit Unix-style line endings. On the next stop pick the Use the OpenSSL Binary option and click Next. Select a different option only if you know what you are doing in order to prevent problems with any of the other services on your computer. On the next page, the recommended option is Use Git from Git Bash only. Click Next when you are ready to continue further. Usually, this is left at the default value, but you can change it if you want. On this step, you are prompted to provide the name of the Start Menu folder in which the shortcuts for the application will be placed. If you want the software installed in a different location click Browse and specify a different folder. The default path is “ C:\Program Files\Git“. On the next step, you should choose where to install the program. This will open a new window in which you can find license information about the software. You can download the latest version of GIT from this page. To use GIT on your Windows computer you must first download and install it.
